What's the purpose of the Waynesboro, VA
Senior Advocacy Commission?
Currently, approximately 18 percent of Waynesboro residents are 65 or older. As the baby boomer generation reaches older adulthood, the number of seniors in Waynesboro is predicted to double. The demand for medical care, caregiver support, housing, and other vital services will soon skyrocket. This massive change is underway in the City of Waynesboro right now.

The Waynesboro Senior Advocacy Commission (WSAC) works to educate seniors about resources available within the community. Additionally, WSAC serves in an advisory capacity to the Waynesboro City Council. We help convey the needs and concerns of seniors and caregivers to Waynesboro officials, City employees, and regional policy makers.
